It seems like only yesterday when I first heard you two were about to embark on this journey. You are my favorite reactors and I could not wait to tag along on this journey, to see it through a new lens. Do you know that feeling when you introduce someone you care about to something you love? Excitement and nerves both battling each other at the fore front of your mind? Watching you fall in love with this story has been so enjoyable I don't have the words to articulate how I really feel. Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened :) DESTINY IS ALL!

I think you two should start a GoFundMe for a trip to Bebbamburgh (Bamburgh Castle) and do maybe a live stream of the trip or just record some sweet spots along the tour? I would definitely donate.

Holy moly that was an emotional ride for half the movie I was watching in dread fearing for our characters that we all love so much. In a way I feel this could almost have been made into a 6th season very easily but none the less it was fantastic. I've loved watching this show again with you both and even though I don't comment much you know Ive been with you guys all the way through the laughter and tears I found myself just wanting to give Nikki a massive hug at the end there 🫂 100% one of the best shows ever Destiny is all ⚔️

It really is! Been a few times, one fairly recently as they have a TLK exhibition there now with props from the show amongst a few other things which is just a great addition. 100% worth a visit and compared to a lot of other castles here, it is actually relatively cheap when you think about the almost 1000 years of history that's gone on in the castle

I watched it the other day when it released and then again just now for the watch along, cried both times 😂 so emotional, Uhtred is probably one of my favourite characters of all time. I had the same thought at the end when they showed Bamburgh, I really want to go and visit!

I think the reason why Ragnar wasn't in the clip of Valhalla was because the actor had scheduling conflicts but it would have been nice to see him in that scene other wise! <3

I love how they didnt show him “die” but a transition to Valhalla which was Uthreds only ever true goal and he finally recieved it 🥲 P.s pls watch peaky blinders u will absolutely love it omg, Peaky and TLK are my joint number 1 Shows so I know 100% u guys will love it as well!!!!!!!

The one part of the battle scene when the camera focused on Serpent Breath's pommel after Uhtred took the first spear stab and propped himself up...and the mega war drums started playing...man oh man, that was about as epic as it gets.

Uhtred said this in order to have the crown pass to Edmund unchallenged, i.e. without civil war. But it is not a very sound advice. Edmund could I have died childless before Aethelstan. So was Aethelstan in that case supposed to start conceiving children? I think the writing was bad and to think that Uhtred somehow approved of not having issue is a bit against his character. There is a bit of re-writing of history as well. In the Viking culture they knew of homosexuality but you had to be the "aggressor" for it not to be shameful. The same In the Roman empire, men could have homosexual relations but with slaves (usually young boys) and prostitutes who did not have a voice. There was nothing romantic or enlightened in their attitude towards homosexuality.

One of the most touching things to me is that Uhtred made Athelstan vow never to marry or have children. I really think he made him promise this and you see him and Athelstan both smile and Athelstan relieved because Uhtred gave him an excuse to not be forced into being with a woman. Allowing him to not have to hide his sexuality and yet not exposing his secrete to anyone at the same time. Love watching this with you guys. Its is tied for my favorite show with (supernatural) and we named my son after Finan.

This movie was so good... I wish we had a season 6 to end it all but the last 20 minutes of the movie made me cry so much. Uhtred will forever go down as one if not my favorite warrior ever written.
