Also according to Google..... F1 cars have sophisticated, compact lithium-ion batteries as part of their Energy Recovery System (ERS). These batteries capture energy during braking (kinetic energy) and from the engine's heat (thermal energy), storing it to provide an electrical power boost for a limited time during a lap to enhance speed and efficiency, according to the cited sources.

So according to Google.... In the 24 Hours of Daytona (Rolex 24), each driver must drive for a minimum of 2 hours (GTP and GTD Pro classes) or 4.5 hours (LMP2 and GTD classes) and cannot exceed 13 hours total driving time. Drivers also cannot drive for more than 4 hours in any 6-hour stretch.
