Ninetails

I think I am neutral on it, though I would hate to see him getting it marked based on the rare card, or have to wait an eternity for an egg to hatch. The first would be a waste on his side and the second would be a waste of time for the story.

Ninetails

It is quite stupid though, because if he indeed has something good, chances are he will get power, and later take his anger out at them. Assuming he just doesn't leave the place or something else happens.

Honour Rae

I mean, do they see it as evil? As far as the townsfolk know, he's getting a promotion. Sort of.

Honour Rae

Yeah, same thing happens to me with the word wrap. I think it's a bug thanks to Patreon's new features they've rolled out. Anyway... I like the way you think. Yes, that was the reason Arthur gave away where he was from. Makes it harder for him to brazenly grab a card and then Hasta La Vista out of there when someone tries to stop him. Though that would be fun to write.

Honour Rae

;)

Honour Rae

I admit it's hard not to write him going into a store and just brazenly shop lifting like you see professional shoplifters do in drugstores nowadays, then using the trap card to escape. Just... piling everything into a sack and zipping away when someone uses a power to stop him. Lol. I should have written him as more morally dubious.

Honour Rae

If ONLY Arthur had a trap card that would allow him some sort of escape. Oh well, I guess he'll have to think of something else ;)

Honour Rae

I admit, they would be asking for it if they put out a card that, say, gives the power of instant escape from searching authorities right out there where anyone can steal it. Then again, why would they put ANY card out where it can be taken? Hmm. It's a conundrum. ;)

Joshua Flowers

Naw he is gonna use the trap card after he steals some rates. Then he and horatio go to his hive to build political capital to escape capital punishment

Benjamin Walsh

He could still use the trap card to get a head start. I’d imagine a teleport across town and the. The time it takes for them to think about searching the orphanage would give him the time needed to hole up somewhere.

Michael Hughes

Never mind it comes out properly when you post it.

Michael Hughes

He told them his name and where to find him so he can't get away from this now. If he was going to escape he should have lied and used the trap card immediately. The only way he can save the legendary is to sacrifice the rare without even being able to sell it. TFTC and see you next time. I never noticed my words don't wrap around before but I don't want to fix it.

seth dauer

He already told them his name and where to find him. It wouldn't work, everyone's suggestion to steal and flee with his trap card

seth dauer

Different society, different rules. They are at constant war. The only defense? Dragons and their linked riders. Unless you think a village of humans with dinky powers like growing thier nails could fight off an eruption? Survival must come first or there IS nothing else

Alphafenrir401

Am I the only one here that wants him to be a dragon rider cause every comment seems to want him to run away?

Touch

Pick that card and use that fumkin trap card arthur.... pick all of them....

Touch

Same, I HATE it, the worse could happen to the dragon is light punishment. My irration meter just go up to 99%

Toknightly

Agree. 100%. I hate when this happens in books. Your so right. Kidnap a child off the street. Oh your an orphan that makes it ok I guess. These are the people a lawful society should hang. Your vigilantism is unwanted. Plus side he could grab a couple cards and then activate return.

Geoffrey Reed

This would be a really good time to have a trap card….

Joshua Flowers

Depends if he steals a rare/uncommon set he may be able to escape capture

Some BS Deity

Oh gods, Arthur don't steal the cards. If you get caught you are a deadman before the legendary is even discovered.

GuyWhoReadsALot

Good old kidnapping. Lemme guess, no one will be punished for this evil? In fact, they'll convince him that it was a good thing that they kidnapped him? Fantasy authors let people do evil without consequence and then call them good far too often. Kidnapping is evil, they should have sent him back home immediately. Evil.
