So an hour ago my computer fan (not sure which) suddenly sounded it was grinding. I quickly turned off and now have to assess it.
Hopefully is quick fix and not a replacement etc.
Hope doesn't slow down anything but just a heads up may be slow to reply to DMs at the moment!
PS: (sketch done on phone if wondering how)

Funny enough, I checked the family computer in other room since I was fixing things, and a cable was jamming the fan on that one. So always good to do checkups :P

If you can get to the fan, take the label off the hub of the motor. There may be a rubber plug there; if so remove it. If you can access the bearing, take some sewing machine oil, or some grease (car not bacon), or some petroleum jelly, or some automatic transmission fluid, and put a few drops on the sleeve. That should quiet it down for a while.

Could be a cable got loose and its smacking the fanblades, that happened with mine

hopefully its not gpu fan, those cannot be replaced 90% of the time....

Oh no! Hopefully it is just a fan and nothing super important...

Could be dust on the fan or the motor just sh*t itself
