alicicity -> alacrity

Viva01

you would be correct. thanks for pointing that out.

Viva01

That's somewhat the point. They're trying to show people to improve their standards.

Viva01

Big. Like a small national park big. He has a point that goes from the outskirts of Pewter to one of the first mountains within the Silver Range. So over a 1000 acres let's say. That's decent size for the land. The actual cultivated land with buildings and Gym structures and fencing is like 40 acres. with another set up further out for a stables..... this might be horrible napkin math however... what are people's thoughts?

fireball77

Say, what's the acreage on Brock's Gym and how much pokemon does he own in total?

Thomas Keller

In fairness, they are at the very least leashes. Being able to be digitalized and stored at the whim of another being is something that could be really *really* horrible, and without an in depth examination of how it actually works, is experienced, and what sorts of safety features there are, it would be rather easy for many *many* people to have very reasonable concerns about it. And peak of Pokemon treatment that Brock and Sabrina are, notably it's only Brock's personal team that he's been noted as taking special care to deliberately involve access to his home to, as well as access to things like tables or spending money. I absolutely believe that the Gym Pokemon are treated well, but it's quite possible that there are some small bits of implied Dignity that no one involved has thought to bring up in any capacity even as an option to be declined. Honestly the Fiorans do have a very strong point about treating our fellow beings with dignity and respect, especially if as many humans have been failing to meet the standards they would set in how they would treat other humans with regard to their pokemon partners. The big issue seems to primarily be a very consistently poor quality of presentation. What they *really* need to do is get into Children's Television and push for stuff that both implicitly and explicitly teaches about how to treat *everyone* with respect, dignity, and kindness. Even a mediocre series of shows will likely have a stronger and more wide reaching impact than their missionary efforts.

Daniel Ryan

Also, this really does seem like it was pre-empted. They acted far too quickly. Pre-empted should be premeditated. “He must be drawing in all the local Slimer and Koffing.” Grimer.

NotADragon

The Fioran welcoming committee was interesting. I’m not surprised that Brock and Sabrina got perfect scores for Pokemon care, but it does make me curious about how well an average trainer without their resources would be scored. After all, not everyone can afford to renovate their homes to accommodate their whole teams.

Vikteren

Cynthia did ok, probably would of done better if she did not have to babysit Diantha. but yeah Diantha, Priestess Lady and Steven are not a hard bar to clear

Matt H

It's nice to meet a another foreign leader/dignitary that seems to be both kind and level-headed; they've seemed to be in oddly short supply so far in this story (looking at you Steven, Cynthia, Diantha, etc.). Also, getting to interact with best birb is always a joy!

Jericho Rising

I agree.

Alexander Gofric

On a separate note I love the new chimecho mega evolution. It’s a brand new potential mega for Sabrina given the chimecho she has. Although as she mostly uses them to create calm psychic zones and not for battling there might not be much opportunity for her to have one. Despite how cool it looks. Depending on the stat distribution and the ability it provides it might be tactically worthwhile.

Alexander Gofric

I love this about your fic the Pokémon world is ultimately a good place it has proper villains and horrible people but it doesn’t always have to have conflict. I love the portrayal of Noland here. As someone who befriended a legendary who are known to disparage conflict and wars a martial attitude would likely not attract one. I wished there could have been an opportunity for a friendly battle but I totally get it and respect the pitfalls of having one.

Vgoldtime

Bratty Sabrina acting up enjoying traveling with Brock again and wanting some "alone time" with him .

Vexdt

Thanks for the chapter! From the information we got in the chapters before I thought Noland was isolated/controlled by the people (with empathic powers) around him, but it seems we got shown a sensible Fiorian, may the wonders never end! ;)

Ch W

Still loving the blend of family, politics, intrigue, dating, and community service we get. Brock's got layers! And sometimes they mix like a oil and water, other times it's like blending acrylic paints together. P.S. Regirock living his best life with temporary tats, encouraging Brock's youngest siblings to grow up to be artists of multiple mediums is now my head canon.

ShinLupin

And they met every bird Face-to-face

ShinLupin

So we have several Potential factions here. And little idea on What their goals are. The plot grows more complex.

ShinLupin

He might be or he is hiding something. Or both.

Tim Wren

Amazing chapter! Had a good mix of everything and the mystery is fun. I'm a big fan of the worldbuilding

Addicted2Games

And Brock and Sabrina manage to meet one of the Legendary Birds without a fight breaking out. Progress! 😁

Qweku_v

Thanks for the excellent chapter. We finally meet a very reasonable Fioran. The interaction with the committee was cute, although they could do without the "Pokeballs are prisons" agenda.

Raptor

Noland looks chill

David Green

Finally a reasonable Fioran!

Lenny XinHua

He must be drawing in all the local Slimer and Koffing.” i think you meant grimer not slimer

BlackRazaras

Thanks for the chapter
