Last thing I promise 😂 I’m surprised that mr and ms ‘I’ve been underfed and held prisoner for months’ upon meeting their rescuers (who are covered in blood and gore), are idly conversing about dinner plans, while still in their ‘prison’. While not completely suspicious (they could be in shock, or made of sterner stuff than I), alarm bells be ringing. How deep does this rabbit hole go? Enemies in every shadow, but not ever shadow conceals an enemy. Who to trust?

Upon re-read, Lunar arrives covered in blood, definitely not tongue in cheek 😂 Leaving this many bodies behind will make quite the stir on a commercial/tourist planet! Unless someone does a very subtle clean up op

Another great chapter! Some questions though - first, Lunar apologized for being late, saying that security was more difficult than anticipated. Did she also fight guards on the outside, or was it a tongue-in-cheek comment? Secondly, a baton that also has a force field - given Nate’s shocked reaction to the tech, it’s either a new cutting edge innovation, or ridiculously expensive, or both. Why not grab them while leaving, either as a clue to who hired them, or to sell/use themselves? Leaving them behind feels wasteful. Third, Nate choked out his assailant, but it doesn’t explicitly state that he killed him. This would be an ideal opportunity for some hostage interrogation, or an untied loose end that’ll come back and bite Nate in the rear later on, when Mr. poor father wakes up from his impromptu nap. Lastly, Nate is definitely made of sterner stuff than me - if I had my crotch given a punching bag treatment, I wouldn’t be thinking sexy thoughts for a few days at least 😂
