You seem to be reacting to a lot of surface actions and events. We don't know what Ozai was like when he was younger. We also don't know the circumstances of their marriage, it could have been a traditional arranged marriage, or Ozai changed over time as he eventually wanted to overthrow his father.

Ah, I don't remember that bit, then. Was it a heat of the moment "I don't want to remember anything- it's too painful!" moment? Because I could understand it then. Also, I find it hard to blame Ursa for being married to a sociopath like Ozai- his actions are his own doing :).

Did she mean she wished Zuko wasn't his son, specifically, or theirs in general? Maybe she meant it in a way that she wished Ozai went his father. And maybe being banished from her family was so painful for her that she chose to have her memories erased instead of living a life without them. I'm not condoning it but that could have been the reason. Anyway Zuko x Ursa still best ship.

I think at the very end of an episode of LoK, Korra actually asks about Azula and what happened to her...and then the episode ends. :/

You can also add the fact that its Ursa's fault that Ozai treated Zuko like shit. She told Ozai that she wished Zuko wasn't his son so he told her he'd start treating him as if that were the reality.

When I say she forgot about them I mean she literally forgot about them. She had a spirit called the Mother of Faces give her a new face and identity and erase all her memories of her life in the Fire Nation. I understand she was banished and had no choice but to leave but to erase the memories of her children was fucked up.

@Angelo ah, I see. Well, she kind of had to abandon them, or else she'd be killed herself, wouldn't she? She spared Zuko's life and that was the price. Not ideal, but it was the only option to save him. I'm not sure why she never tried to get back in contact- did she know that the war was over?

Yeah she never did come up in Korra did she? Unless they spelled it out in the comics at some point I guess that was left a mystery.

From what I remember reading (not the comic), it was because Zuko went to his dad for advice and never told her.

Fucking hawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwt. LOVE IT when Asami gets nude. She's so fucking gorgeous in that show, and she's well done in your art style, too! Those friggin' EYES, man... Love cowgirl scenes, too. Just the best overall view of EVERYTHING. I'm tempted to get nothing BUT that sometimes, but it probably gets old to people other than me :). Great idea, Angelo! Asami is the best, and Zuko getting with her is a clever twist.
