Yeah, for sure... it’s kinda weird, tho... if you think about, Brazilian corresponds to ~ 60% of Portuguese speaker’s , it justifies Google Translator. Well, either options is good, but in the context of a Brazilian guy saying that, “banheiro” is a better option.

Men, Brazilian guy here _o/ Actually, here in Brazil we generally use “banheiro” to designate bathroom or toilets (or WC). If you want to refer to toilet, the best word is “lavabo”. But if you don’t want fail, use “banheiro” and be happy! I wish I could help with it ;)

Banheiro is the portuguese/Brazilian way to say bathroom. Here in Portugal we call it casa de banho.

Don't worry, "banheiro" fits nicely. Specially with the slip of tongue scenario. In Brazil people use it commonly.

No worries ! I know our words can be kinda tricky so it's obvious google translate would do that kind of mistake. For the note "sanitario" would be sanitary in english. You can use it in this case but it's not really the word a teenager would really use. Your choice ! Don't hesitate if I can be of any help 😉

Well in fact I'm Portuguese myself xD Not the perfect speaker but I can say my family always used "banheiro" as a manner of naming a bath. Every Portuguese I know use "casa-de-banho" so idk what could fit better even if I can agree it's kinda long x,)
