🕑 Added 2020-03-24 00:51:02 +0000 UTCEver since playing the demo for the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 remake, my hype train has launched into orbit, defying physics and the very nature of trains entirely.
I could easily fill a few paragraphs ranting about FF7, but I'm suddenly concerned about sharing spoilers for a 23 year old game, as I imagine a lot of people will be about to play the story for the first time next month.
So I'll keep it brief. This is Barret and Yuffie. Yuffie is a greedy self-serving ninja from the game who was my personal favorite party member when I played it as a kid. One cool thing about Yuffie that I really hope they keep? Her being entirely missable in the story. The fact that the average player would never find her if not for dumb luck gave her some mystique, which isn't a word I would normally use to describe a little punk who chuckles to herself like a dork while planning her schemes out loud.
Seeing how the new game will be released in episodes, I wonder if we'll see remake Yuffie before the year 2025. In any case I hope you guys like the pin up and are having a good Monday! :)

Controversial indeed! But you won't find much argument from me, busted combat system aside, I loved FF8.

You can recruit her as early as the woods before Junon, so literally just after the Midgar Zolom. I have a sneaking suspicion the wait between episodes will be shorter than the wait for this installment was (meaning they will streamline the game as a series of shorter maps as the game would be prohibitively big otherwise).

Well at least his potential as a leading man wasn't entirely lost on Square. They did give him his own game, they just forgot to make it good unfortunately.

Would it be part 2 even? I have no idea how many episodes there are going to be, and I seem to remember Yuffie showing up fairly late in the game. I guess how much of the story they might streamline is a factor as well. I just hope to see her before 2025. XD

Nice art! I loved Yuffie's habit of planning her schemes out loud where everyone who would be impacted by them could hear her. It made her the adorable type of Chaotic Stupid, as opposed to the insufferable type. My biggest gripe about FF7, though, was that they made the wrong person the main character. Vincent had a deeper, more personal connection, and more understandable reason to hate both Sephiroth and Hojo. Instead of lead, he gets relegated to hidden extra party member, and some spiky haired git dragging around an airplane wing gets made the main character.

Unf, love this. More of Barret servicing the ladies. Yuffie is great and underappreciated (her personal concerns are honestly greater than the party's need for materia and the knowledge of it is as missable as she is). That being said, we will have to wait for part 2 before seeing her either way.
