Reinblog 6/14/21: Commissions
🕑 Added 2021-06-15 01:22:43 +0000 UTCSo at long last I have a solid plan for reopening commissions by the end of this month. Here's the breakdown as of this writing:
-You will see one or more commissions I've already accepted pop up this month before I formally open. These potential jobs are the result of various promises I may have made to friends and clients during my hiatus, and I want to honor them if I can before opening up for real. (And if you're one of those people and I forgot an offer I made you, hit me up with a PM and I'll see what I can do.)
-When I open, it will initially be only to members of the level three tier and above, who have access to the Discord server. I'm gatekeeping a bit because my biggest fear with this whole venture is getting overwhelmed with more requests than I can handle. But hey, if I open up on Discord to a chorus of crickets, I'll expand to more tiers from there. That said, I strongly advise against joining the the Discord tier just to have commission access if you aren't already on there. We've got a nice community, and I post works in progress and discuss TRW spoilers. If that sounds good, feel free to join if you want to, but the last thing I want is for anyone to upgrade just for commissions only to find they don't like my prices, or that they could end up waiting months or more without their name being picked. Which leads to...
Commission slots will be chosen through a random drawing every month, live streamed on the server. I plan to alternate between choosing new clients and returning ones with each drawing, and will likely have a rule where one person can't be picked twice in a certain amount of months to keep things fair. (Again, this is assuming I'm still in as much demand as I was when I left off two years ago. These lengths to keep things fair for big numbers may prove quite unnecessary, but we'll see.)
That covers everything, I think. This is my starting plan, but I'm not afraid to adapt as needed. From here, the next stage will be me making a commission prices and guidelines channel on the Discord server later this month. I'd love to hear any thoughts or input you may have, and I look forward to drawing some crazy new stuff I'd have never thought of on my own in the months to come. :)

I do know I don't want to take on any job for less than a hundred dollars, and I'll likely be offering discounts for jobs that involve TRW characters.

The drawing itself would be streamed for transparency's sake. Kal has a generator that can pick a name off a list. Then whoever wins would get an "@" from me to let them know. That way nobody has to be around at a specific time, they just need to let me know they're interested.

What do you mean by βlive streamed on the serverβ? The art would be? Or the draw to see who gets it? I hope that doesnβt mean one has to be online at right that moment to get a spot- as someone who does shift work and canβt be online while working, that would lock me out for the most part of I had to be around. Iβm not entirely sure how these things work.
