Feedback Request for Streams!
🕑 Added 2016-11-26 13:10:01 +0000 UTC Hello again :D A second blog entry for the day!I've been doing my livestreams for a while now, and every time, it leaves me happy that so many of you enjoy the show I put on <3 To know that you have fun, and even learn something with me, means a whole lot!
It's in this spirit, that I want to hear how you think I could potentially optimize the experience, and perhaps make it more enjoyable? I've got some possibilities I want to run by you, so see what you think! \^3^/
1. Over the course of a stream, do you prefer watching instead of listening, or do you listen to the stream more than you watch it?
- This statistic could help form my decisions in terms of some of the ideas below :)
2. Should I use my mic to narrate certain things I do?
- The reason I've held back on this is because I'm somewhat self-conscious about my voice. It's not as melodious as I'd want it to be >//w//<; But this may help me respond to text chat faster and more accurately. If you're interested, I could also explain my thought-processes at a given time, when I'm deciding on something in a drawing.
3. Do you prefer I do as many drawings as possible in a single stream, or do you prefer I work intensely on one drawing for a whole stream, and go from constructions all the way to proper coloring? :3c
- This is an important point I want to bring up, elaborated on in the paragraph below!
My day job is 9 hours of constant interaction with people, either in person or over the phone, and being an introvert, lately it's been taking a lot out of me. When I get home, most days I'm so drained, I can't muster the energy to be meaningfully creative. Attempts at creativity leave my drawings too lack-luster, and I forget simple things when drawing, like basic proportions or technique.
In an effort to contain my lewd drawing activity to my weekends, which LUCKILY I usually have free, I'd like to propose two options for my streams:
- Messy sketches, so that I can squeeze in as many drawings for as many raffle winners as possible, in a single session.
- One clean drawing, for a single raffle winner each session.
We don't have to exclusively choose one over the other, I could always do messy sketches one weekend, then a clean drawing the next. It just depends on what you guys want <3
I'm a big fan of Sharue's works on Eka's Portal, and her way of doing sketches has inspired me for years.

This is the kind of sketching style I'll be aiming for if I'd do multiple sketches in a stream :3
An additional update for my Patrons! To keep things fairer for raffles in the future, a single Patron can only win one drawing in a month e//v//e
Some of you wonderful goobers are perhaps a bit TOO lucky, so even with multiple streams in a month, to keep it fair, you may only win once in that given month~ I'll be updating the Patreon description to mention this detail as well.

1. I generally watch from time to time while doing other things and engaging in the chat. Often I’m doing something else at the time, but I don’t always turn the sound on. 2. Mic narration would be great for certain things, though it would make it hard for those who don’t have the ability to use sound to engage at that point, and coming back to check the chat after being gone for a bit it would be hard to tell what had happened. Answering important chat messages in the chat but asking questions and such via mic might be a good compromise. That said, if it helps you move faster and do things easier, go for it. =3 3. I would much prefer many sketches than one drawing, to make sure more people get the chance to see something they like. A single drawing is likely to make people leave early, especially if it’s not something they’re into, since there’s no chance they’re going to see a change in the stream. You know how people often tend to leave after the last raffle. =P A crowd-sourced picture where everyone debates different decisions might be a way to keep interest and engagement while having a much more polished product, but you probably know I enjoy that already. =3 Also: I totally support patrons only winning a single raffle for the month. I know I’ve felt kind of bad that I’ve won a number of them myself. ^_^; You might have to bend on that rule if everyone watching a stream has won that month, but it’s still certainly a great idea to go with.
