If you check out her porn on Rule 34, you'll see that 95% of everyone who has ever drawn her naked has gone with thicc Velma. I think everyone has Mandela effect vague memories of her being short, and short girls in animation are usually heavy, and her clothes were unflattering, so our brains all collectively went "Velma is a nerdy but hawt shortstack." It's nothing to be ashamed of. Thicc Velma is 87% hotter than conventionally slim Velma would be, anyway. Also this pic rules, and your interpretation of Velma rules.

I think between her short stature, baggy clothes, and rounder face than daphne, the perception back in the day was that she was thic in comparison to other female characters that were in the show. I always liked Velma, I just always hated the “I can’t see without my glasses” bit they would do. Same with the whole danger prone daphne gag. I really liked the way they did the characters for Zombie Island. They felt more real. They had more personality.

I think there's a bit of a Mandela Effect with thick Velma. A lot of people draw Velma as thick now so everyone assumes she's always been thick but she never was.

I found Velma to look almost gorilla-like in the '70s, with long arms and short legs- that's probably where the "thicc" impression came from. That and the unflattering sweater and "nerdy girl" look. But anyways, amazing drawing. It was great fun watching it colored live on Picarto, too. The shading, especially on her tummy, is perfect- you are INCREDIBLY good at the thicc, cuddly girls. They look so soft and adorable, lol. PS I move that you only draw thicc girls for forever.
