Would be hard for me to guess, honestly. My particular audience hasn't been all that tested for (technically) gay male content OR futa content, really, (aside from my recent commission where the penis was not visible.) Hard to say which would be more divisive.

Assuming one views a futa character as a woman I'd say it's not 'gay' by the standard definition lol. Futa definitely seems like the best compromise though. And as long as he's getting fucked I really can't say I care one way or the other. I've wanted to see him on the receiving end pretty much since he was introduced!
