Liara and Shephard

I was a big Mass Effect fan, I played as female Shephard, and Liara was the romance option I picked in both the first and final game. (I decided my Shephard was the obsessively monogamous type.) Granted, Liara was my ONLY female romance option in ME1. I know male Shephard had more lady options, but if you give me a choice between two characters and one of them is voiced by Jennifer Hale, I'mma pick the one voiced by Jennifer Hale.
But you know what? It wouldn't have mattered either way. Liara would have been my favorite even if I'd had access to the rest of the female cast. (Not that Tali wouldn't have also been a strong contender.) What can I say, the design of Liara's race hit that classic Star Trek sweet spot of "just alien enough to still be hot." But more than that I simply liked her character, and it was fun watching her change from naive scientist to ruthless spy as the trilogy went on.
Word is a new Mass Effect entry is on the way, and I may give that one a shot. The last game, Andromeda, didn't go over great, but that actually gives me some confidence in the next game. Historically, "apology games" that follow a poorly-received entry tend to have some extra crowd-pleasing polish applied to them.
But let me know what you think. About Mass Effect, the series, the waifus, who the best girl was, and why it was obviously Liara? :D

You know if you play the SHadow Broker DLC in ME2 you can continue your romance with Liara, and during the Suicide Mission Shepard will look at a picture of her.

Had to love that scene in 2 were the sex scene would normally play, and FemShep just looks at that picture of Liara all depressed. I thought that fit my character PERFECT at the time. Though if I played through again, I'd probably just hook her up with Garrus in ME2. Shephard deserves alien sex in every game. XD

I played a little of the remaster on Game Pass. It makes Mass Effect 1 look how I remember it, though I bet if I put the remaster side by side with the jank Xbox 360 original the difference would be night and day. XD

I did the same thing, picked Liara in 1, nobody in 2, and back to Liara in 3. Great scene of her!

Huge ME fan. My first play through was a femshep and I obviously romanced Liara. That being said, my ME waifu shall always be Tali. Sorry Liara, Tali's just too fucking adorable.

Going to have to be the guy to rep Jack. Back in ME2 she reminded me of Natalie Portman in V for Vendetta. As I got older and started to lose my taste in her design, bam, ME3 comes out with a perfect redesign.

Loving this one, Liara/Fem Shep is one of my favorite official ships, but i have to admit that i also like Miranda/Fem Shep and Jack/Fem Shep... As forthe games, i really want to play the trilogy again, but i don't want to download the games on GamePass since i want to buy the steelbook... Hopefully the next entry will be a good one, but we'll have to wait a lot. Still, fro the moment, i'm pretty hyoed for the next Dragon Age.

Liara was obviously the best girl, together with Garrus she also had the most actual character growth. Cute shy nerdy girl who turns into a badass? Sign me up every single playthrough. As an added bonus, even Femshep can knock her up.

Yeah. I chose Liara too for my romance in mass effect. She was such a great character to romance through all 3 games. Best sex scenes of all of them, and the most interesting storyline.
