And that this multiple costumes idea ended up being way more work than I thought it would be? It turns out those two things have a lot to do with why Abbey is only showing up now!
Trying something new comes with risks, but it still tears me up inside to promise something and not deliver. As for if I'm still going to do eight girls, I guess we'll assess things at the end of the month and see if you guys want more? In any case thanks for bearing with me on this and I hope you like Abbey's set!

Abbey knew Casey would never agree to enter the contest as a couple, but if Abbey just so happened to show up wearing costumes that matched her beloved's, then Casey-Case would surely see that they had a true connection and were meant to be together forever!
As it happened, Abbey had an ace up her sleeve: when she first discovered her feelings, she'd wasted no time in cyber-stalking and forging personal relationships with Casey's entire extended family. She knew Casey would rely on her cousin Dale for costume suggestions, so she enlisted him to send her a set of outfits that would match in theme perfectly.
A few hundred dollars in body paint and paper mache later, Abbey realized she'd been had. Once at the event, she discovered that only two of her costumes were what the judge would deem "matching" to Casey's. Upon furiously texting Dale, he admitted that two of the costumes indeed didn't exactly fit thematically, he just thought she'd look "really beautiful" in them.
Abbey was shaking with rage when Casey said she looked "hot" in the vampire swimsuit, one of Dale's non-matching selections for her. Casey had never called her "hot" before. Casey normally called Abbey things like "cute," "spunky," and "elf-like."
Abbey's anger faded. Dale had been saved from her wrath. For now.
