TRW Strips #060
🕑 Added 2021-11-09 04:41:37 +0000 UTCThis one is a direct follow up to Strip #023, included here. Derek and Abbey may never even speak to each other in the main comic, but I like the little antagonistic relationship between the two of them building in the strips.
As I've said before, I try not to veer into story stuff in these strips...I did not succeed at that today. This is a big part of why Abbey is the way she is with Casey. After being friend-zoned by Courtney (or at least, that's what Abbey thinks happened,) she was determined not to let it happen again, and is going all-out on Casey.
This is substantial enough that I'd like to put it in the main comic, and I probably will. I just have no idea when I'll be able to work it in organically. Since it's something I think readers might likely be wanting an explanation for when they read this week's TRW page, I thought it would be nice to touch on it here.

I do hope that Abbey has grown to appreciate the relationship she has with Courtney. Even if she originally meant it to go in a different direction Courtney seems like a total sweetheart, and definitely deserves friends who care about her and make her feel listened to.
