🕑 Added 2023-05-26 01:56:32 +0000 UTCI was a little concerned that Parker's kiss would seem to come out of nowhere, but I did establish in an earlier scene with Holly that Parker has a way of kissing girls when they make her feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
The sheer volume of word balloons I had to make room for here really hammers home to me how, when it comes to writing comics, there is zero room for a single word that doesn't NEED to be there. If I don't want my page to be a wall of text, sometimes I have to just hope that some things are easier enough for a reader to infer. In this case, I'm hoping it was clear enough that from Jane and Parker's point of view, Vincent had to be responsible for Lydia running off somehow. If somebody storms off suddenly, you're a lot more likely to guess it has something to do with who they were just having sex with than that there's a demon alien in their head pissing them off. Too bad for Vincent. XD
As always I'd like to hear what you think. I don't know what it is about this scene but I find myself staring down the barrel of dialog that would be easy to mess up quite a lot lately. Only one page left of this scene though, and then it's on to a whole new chapter of tricky dialog!
