Patreon Pin Up 6/19/23: Casey and Abbey in the Hot Tub

For the longest time I had this idea about Casey reacting in-canon to how Abbey has grown quite a bit more busty lately. It's not really substantial enough to build a scene around in the main comic, so I thought I'd try kind of a hybrid pin up/comic scene to present the concept.
The premise here is that when Casey told Abbey about how jealous she was over the date night at a beach-side resort Sylvia planned for Raina in the previous chapter, Abbey spent a month of Kitty Burger wages to provide Casey that same evening in the hot tub together, and this is how it went down.
Over the years I've taken a fair amount of well-earned critique about my tendency to let the breast sizes of my characters creep up over time. And in most instances, it's honestly unintentional on my end. I don't have any turn-around reference pages of the individual cast members to look at when I draw them, I just present their body types in whatever way looks good to me at the time I drew it. Liz's ass looking bigger than it should on the most recent TRW page as of this writing is a prime example. She was thicker down there than she should canonically be in that top panel, but I liked how it looked in that moment, so I didn't shrink her down.
So with that context, I want to say that Abbey's jump in size is one of the rare instances where I did it on purpose. I don't want to run my mouth story-wise about what's coming up in the comic, but for now I can say that I feel this busty look suits what I have planned for her in the coming pages of the current chapter of the story.
And that's all I've got for now! Let me know what you think of this one, and if you'd like to see more pin ups like it. You know what? Kayden is meant to be "small" but that's in quotations because he'd still be hung like a rhino by real world standards. But I'll keep that in mind, I do need a smaller guy one of these times for variety sake.

I'm very much a fan of the idea of pinups showing up a little more often, especially if you can't make a full strip out of something. Just an in-continuity panel showing something that's going on or a one-off gag or something. Like a Q&A strip but with new art! It might actually be a handier way to show exposition and things readers were merely told about instead of shown, too- you don't have to work as hard to slip it into the narrative like you would things like "Bria apologized to Warren and he said he forgave her but she didn't believe him" and the like. I get you about proportions- especially just from eyeballing one's own work, it can be tricky, particularly if someone takes another position (people lying back, having tits bouncing, etc., can alter the perceived size a LOT). Plus your natural tendency to prefer large breasts probably means you're likely to unconsciously blow them up bigger each time because that's your authentic preference, and thus it will usually look better to you that way.

Casey, the Nurse and my absolute favourite lady, Courtney, all have giant boobs. That's what makes them special to TRW and long may it be so. Enormous gazongas rock, Mr R, so keep drawin' 'em that way, the bigger the better... =)
