Its funny, she thinks he's changing for the better but in the worst way and is suffering for it, but he hasnt changed at all, outside of the physical effects of losing his soul, which like losing said soul, doesnt bother him all that much. Even a couple pages ago he was only worried about coughing up blood cause people would notice and that would make things harder for him. I... really dont think he can hide his agenda from esther for much longer after this
