Anna's making the statement by using the same phrase Manny said with both saying 'there is no point in-'. Adding the 'being' in front of 'alive' does sound better tho
hmm alright i'll try, mind you, english isnt my first language. "just how there is no point in it still alive?" should be "just how is there no point in it still being alive?" because "is there" sounds like a question, "there is" sounds like a statement and it makes it sound like she's telling him the thing. and "in it still alive" needs a verb "being" to be a proper sentence

Point them out? It reads a bit counter-intuitively, but I think that's still a valid sentence, like... "There's no point in [whatever Manny was going to say]? Y'mean just like how there isn't any point in "it" (Dan) [being] still alive?"
