Now I'm very curious about the reason she feels she needs to do it herself. Is this an "I must prove myself" kinda situation, or a "This is too dangerous to trust the authorities with" kind of thing? He seems to be surprised that she isn't going straight to the fantasy!FBI with this one, so it's gotta at least be in character for someone with her background to trust them by default. ....
