Yes, framerate is still not ideal - but since I'm now finally moving to a much newer version of Unity, future fps will be better :)

Thanks for your support & feedback! I'd recommend downloading v006 and reading posts from v002 to v006, where the currently available missions are described. For now it's all a bit too cryptic, on purpose, for me to see what I can afford, and written feedback as well as let's play streams and videos, have given me a good sense of how to better design the final experience for players. Indeed the last updates were work on the game's map - now I can finally dive into the completed world and start adding the proper storyline.

I'm brand new to BEWARE, but saw a clip on Twitter and jumped in as a patron. I've played four of the latest builds and am curious about the delivery of story elements, the locations for chase AI, and whether there are secrets accessible via driving mechanics (like ramping over fences, ramming through wooden barriers, bashing between wedged cars, etc.). The physics feel good (I realize they're scheduled to be updated), but I find myself with little to do in the builds. I'm not given objectives, have no VO to fill me in on story (mysterious voice over a CB radio perhaps?), and although I love the atmosphere, I feel the project is shy of its potential--at least from what I can tell having spent time with these builds. Regardless, as a dev myself, there's a lot to love here visually, but I am very eager for more!

everytime i find the big hill with the house is on top of the hill in the dumper truck v8 version ...i get run over..,been at this for the last 2 days trying to find it so i can get on top of it. i'm starting to hate the dumper trucks ( i need a car with more power) lol.............ok i stand corrected i found it and got up the big hill lol..and i think i found grandpa in a greenhouse

It's best if you read the posts from v002 to v006 - where it's described how to find everything. At the moment it's not yet how it should be, so not always so easy to find.

Oh ok, thats what happened. I had the streetlights on from the main menu. Thanks again! So are there multiple missions and whatnot? Do i just drive around to find them. Are there clues and whatnot?

Could be that you progressed by flipping the power switch & light s on (are the streelamps on when you start?) or you we're lucky, had your headlights off, and they did not detect you. If the streetlamps at the start are on, then you should encounter them chasing another car - which you can help escape and it will lead you to a hidden spot.

Awesome thankyou. I just played V7 and yesterday i was able to get the chase started at the factory place with the lights but now i drive by and they dont chase. Any idea why?

No worries :) Mission-wise they're the same. v007 has a bigger map (3x) but worse framerates and the falling snow might get annoying in the long run. I'd recommend v006 for the missions. Saves are shared across versions so you can always switch if you wish, Oh and if you press "r" in the main menu, 2 more checkpoints appear which you can load. It's temporary and buggy, so the way to do it is, for example, click on "poweron" then press "play". If there's any issues than it's best to quit the game completely and restart it.

Sorry to keep bugging you. I appreciate all the responses. I will read the Last Region post again, i must have missed that the first time. Also, what is the most complete version to play as far as missions/playability goes? V6 or v7?

Not yet. There's an autonomous truck that will chase you (it's making its rounds near the stadium) but it's nothing compared to the rest. You can read more info about it in the "BEWARE Last Region" post.

Awesome thanks for the tips. What about the Last Region? Where do i get chased there? This seems to be the coolest so far with all the abandoned cars and whatnot. Would love to get chased on this map. Is it possible yet?

In v008 Preview: drive straight, under the highway, then turn right where the fence is - this way you enter the surface coal mine, where you might get chased. In Region 7/9: drive toward the white light (it's a maze so might take some time to get there), when you reach it, there will be a fence & gate - stop in front of the gate and wait 3 seconds. There's also a power switch in there, gently ram it and the lights will turn on.

Oh ok, i drove around in Last Region, Region 8 and Region 7/9 but could not find anyone to chase me. Is there a certain part of the map you have to go, to be chased? On the different maps i mean?

You do , but the behavior is lacking - as described in the "Last Region" post. I'd recommend checking out v006 for chase action by human drivers and/or v008P & Region 7/9 where you get chased by automated vehicles.
