If that’s even how it your system works. Maybe it’s a linear progression like in every game, but it doesn’t seem like it from what we’ve read so far

I’m so excited for this story. I wonder if it would be a good idea to “purchase” an option at the end of the tech tree and then work backwards to get the most efficient path to the end goal. It would lead to an explosive ramp up at the end, without much warning. It might startle the ninja, leading to an overreaction, but it gives them less time to get worried about you and assassinate you. Something like nanomachines would give you the knowledge of what you need to learn to build them, then you use that to pick your next downloads, and so on.
