If you want to terraform Venus, then why not branch out into Battletechs terraforming technology? Those guys 'somehow' managed to turn Venus into a Garden World and breadbasket of Sol (before Amaris fucked it all up) within a century or so after all. Might be interesting to see what kind of technological sorcery they used to do so, first hand (thanks to II).

I suppose it depends heavily on what technology you have available. As technology and civilisation grows there are a lot of different predictions and theories about habitats. I mean sci fi has space rings in space or around planets, dysonspheres or rings around stars. I mean there have been theories about moving industry, manufacturing and agriculture into space and have planets solely for living space or you could do it the other way round and have forge worlds like 40k lol.

Cloud Cities. There's a significant block of people who consider Venus' upper atmosphere, where pressure and temperature are Earth-like to be more viable than even Mars.

Isn’t Venus a blazing inferno 737 K (867 °F, 464 °C)? It is the hottest planet in our solar system. I feel it would be much easier to heat a colony than it would be to cool it. Plus closeness to the sun would have an increased risk of solar related issues cropping up.
