A really good idea to have an outside POV for the Boss Battle, especially since we knew they would clear it. It's always funny to see people question Kirito's gender, since he's so confident about his appearance and sexuality. It's also true that Kirito's IRL appearance is also very feminine/androgenous overall. I remember in the Light Novel that it was mentioned that it's easy for people to mistake him for a girl due to his delicate face.

No apologies necessary, leaving comments isn't intruding. Regardless, I'm happy to hear that from you and hope you enjoy the story further.

Apologies for intruding; i myself am someone who’s voted for this story every time it’s shown up in polls; I understand your point, Asuna is a very important piece of both the SAO fandom/fics and personally to kirito, i have yet to appreciate another story without her in the pairing. That said i do not think it would be impossible to happen, specially if Kirito has a harem. In the original story each girl have their reason to like Kirito; we have Laefa that liked him since a kid (...I confess i do not really like her? sorry), Sinon that like him because he not only protected her but also because he helped her recover....Asuna, that Kirito encountered inside the game and whose love blossomed in very specific circumstances. Asuna is and was, since the start, a very headstrong girl. We see it since the first book/episode; a lot happened to her, she despaired many times and she and Kirito fought several times side by side to start trusting kirito enough to show him her heart. I personally do not think this romantic development can happen here; Asuna holds herself in a high standard (nothing wrong in that) but Keyboard-smasher-chan and the butterflies from the SI have severly riduced the despair the game inflicted to herself. The even simple fact that she has Mito from IRL and a group of friends to confide in takes away a lot of the pressure she initially had to go down the deep end and try to grind the whole time. Nothing wrong with that, put it also means that there is no reason for Kirito to overtly extend his hand to save her...because there is nothing yet to save her from. The opposite is the same; the fact that Asuna only knew since the start that Kirito was not the 'Evil Beater, grawl..' after Illfang and gave her a sort of intimate secret hidden from all others that probably made her appreciate Kirito more from the start. Here Kirito instead has shown as his only secret that he is a lustful scoundrel with two girlfriends...so yeah i do not think that even should she fall for him she would allow herself to share, something she would be forced to do as the others have already reached the finishing line. If anything I am actually grateful that there is not an attempt to shoehorn her in the Harem flatting her personality and intelligence

Shh! That's very possibly a future plot point!

Mr Crowley

Hey, Slayer out of curiosity have the government thought about sending in an agent set up for streaming to link up with Kirito? Could let Keyboard-smash announce that the government has things in hand as well as act to let Kirito know about Rinko being alive, so he can get suspicions out to her.

Of course man! And I don’t think it’s anything you should feel sorry for btw, your the author and this is your story to tell, I just wanted it to be know why I might not be tuning in as much on this one. Given the rest of your reply, I may indeed have been hasty. I thought this was just abridged, and that’s my fault for making assumptions. I’ll admit Asuna is a (embarrassingly) vital part for any SAO fic if I’m going to enjoy it, unless it’s something that doesn’t follow the canon main and side characters at all. But yeah, I’d be willing to act as a sounding board if you want me to! Heck, a little insight into where you plan to go in regards to her might actually renew my interest (I’m hoping it will!). I think the thing that worries me the most is that whoever you pair her with is someone I’m gonna constantly be comparing to Kirito, and finding them lacking to various degrees. Also When you say DM you, do you mean here on Patreon?? I’ve never done that before, but I’ll try to figure it out! Anyways, all this is to say that while this might still turn out to not be the kind of story I’m interested in reading, I really enjoy most of your other stories, and think you are, in general, a superb author. Even this one is really well written, thought out, and interesting, it’s just atm it’s outweighed by the things I don’t personally jive with. The reason I mentioned that I wasn’t unsubscribing or anything dumb like that, is because I wanted to make sure you and my fellow readers knew this wasn’t some kinda deal breaker for me. Anyways, thanks for reading this really long winded reply!

Thanks for the honesty and I'm sorry the direction I'm taking thing in isn't to your liking. I won't mince words and say you should stick around if your heart isn't in it, but I do think your judgement is a bit hasty here. In point of fact, the story isn't really contained to any single SAO franchise, Abridged or otherwise. I'll be incorporating things from the OG series, the Progressive timeline, a few of the games, and of course the Abridged series itself. Given that you're invested in Asuna to the point where my exclusion of her in the 'main harem' is driving you away from the story, I'd actually like to use you as a sounding board for where I want her direction to go. If you're interested in hearing the potential future character arcs I'm planning for her, shoot me a DM. If not, I'll take that as a clear message you're not interested and drop the subject. Regardless, I hope you enjoy the other stories I'm writing even if you don't follow this one anymore.

As someone who’s voted for this story every time it’s shown up in polls, it saddens me to say this. I was willing to see where this one went even after I realized it was taking place in the shitty abridged au, rather than canon. But now having seen your replies on QQ to various things, but particularly the fact your going out of your way to exclude Asuna in the KiriHarem, when she is bar none the best character in SAO (as well as best girl), any hopes I had for this are gone now. I like the story so far, but knowing that the biggest reason I enjoy SAO fanfic isn’t ever going to happen here kills any interest I had. The fact you plan to feminize kirito to the point you jokingly call it a lesbian harem also pisses me off. Anyways to many things I enjoy about the real SAO are missing from this, and it’s not being written for me or people like me, so I’ll show myself the door. I’ll still stay subscribed for now, if only for the Naruto II and Marvel spinoff fics.

God I fucking love this story. Probably one of maybe 2 or 3 SAO fics out there that I consider worth reading, coming in just under Fairy Dance of Death. This interlude was definitely worth the wait

Mito is from Sword Art Online Progressive, featured in both the Light Novels and the recent movies. https://swordartonline.fandom.com/wiki/Tozawa_Misumi

Very very enjoyable read. Thanks! Kirito comes in for the save. He truly can't escape his fate has the MVP. Wonder how famous he is going to later. He is already a games legend by this point. Mito is a new character? Don't remember her from canon. Some much needed character development is happening, even if only off screen. Nice. And the interlude was certainly informative. Always nice to see some of what the support team needs to do to ensure SAO keeps going.
