Oh I loved this. They showed up with a fleet that can glass planets the minefield was very much justified

Slayer Anderson

I’ll look at clarifying a bit.

Matthew Robar

That’s over 42,960,000 megatons of tnt, for comparison all nuclear explosives on earth roughly equal on 10,000 megatons And the energy required to destroy alderaan is roughly 819,083,688.72 megatons (According to www.edwardmuller.com) You have enough antimatter in that minefield to destroy small moons (and large space stations!) It might be more believable if the million KG is the total weight of the minefield instead of just the payloads as I don’t think it’s a smart idea to have that much ordinance that close to something that if it was destroyed would wipe out the rest of the solar system, I’m pretty sure it’s canon that mass relays have done that in the past

Matthew Robar

You need to be a little more clear describing the mines, I can’t tell if they’re “active” as in they are about to detonate/attck(cause they’re basically missile barges) or if they’re “active” as in armed and waiting for a signal to fire/detonate from a controlling intelligence

Slayer Anderson

Fixed in the doc, thanks.

Jeffrey Gassenheimer

Shouldnt it be that the turians “aren’t” signatories?

Evilhippy

Poor Turians lmao!

Slayer Anderson

Ezekiel is to be roped into shenanigans shortly.

Most ME species have access to antimatter. It's not actually that hard to produce. We make it in small amounts right now, IRL. The issue is making it in large quantities and safely storing it for an extended period of time. The ME races can make limited amounts for industrialized uses that are usually dedicated to fueling military craft, but... not this much.

Zerak

Since first contact with them is over Ezekiel’s world it would actually make sense for the leader of the current Alliance fleet and the Turian’s admiral to meet plant side (of they decide to talk before hostilities commence. And it would be interesting to see Ezekiel act as host (no matter how unlikely that might be), as his word holds more weight than the Alliance admiral. It makes no sense for him not to be involved in some way narratively speaking given he chose that planet as his base. He would have know it was the most likely first contact location with the wider galaxy, so if he didn’t want to get involved another location would have been chosen.

Fish man I don’t fish

God that Turian admiral is got to be shitting bricks, cause that is a shit ton of antimatter mines, also quick question does any of the other races have access to Antimatter weaponry or anything involving it because I don’t think so but I could be wrong

Marius Petrauskas

great update

godUsoland

1 million KG of Antimatter!? Oh hell, if the Turians can scan what they are made of, they will ALL shit bricks. "Prepare to join our Systems Alliance Turians. Do not resist."

Memory Dump

Lol, Lmao Even

Guilherme Bezerra

Turians show up and the Systems Alliance is like: Welcome to our space. Mind the gigantic minefield. LoL. But honestly once the Turians realize what they are dealing with they are going to freak the fuck out. Nevermind the Rachni, they are probably the one civ that won't have historical issues with them, when they discover Ezequiel's "contributions" they are going to freak the fuck. Because that level of mass production is straight up terrifying to face and the Systems Alliance has a divergent techbase from the rest of the galaxy by this point.
