I’ve probably looked it up plenty of times before, but to me envy feels like a more destructive version of jealousy. Jealousy feels like it would stem from a personal desire for a thing, “oh man I want the jacket he has, hope I can get it” while envy feels more like it would stem from insecurity and a desire to look good to others, or a desire to be perceived as superior, “oh man I *need* the jacket he has and if I don’t get it I’m worthless.” That’s the way I feel like it would be worthy of being a sin, because it’s jealousy with the danger of you doing everything you can to get that thing no matter what (and no matter who you hurt), or to put others down, for validation.

So I guess it’s true that they are from the Envy ring and are fish demons and all. I wonder what the Envy ring will look like as well. Maybe more aquatic-looking, swampy, beach-like, maybe even all of that too.
