Hey, I just wanted to point out that megan has never listed nicki in her to 5 influences, she said this before hot girl summer. She did say that she loved nicki back then but that was the extent of it. She said her top 5 were lil kim, foxy brown, eve, missy and her mom holly thomas. Tbh i dont hear nickis influence in her music, i hear it in yung baby tate, doja, asian doll and other newer girls but megan has a different style that reminds me of pimp c. I don't recall Meg ever crediting her as an influence from the jump. She always said Lil Kim was her biggest, Pimp C, as well as her mom. She wanted to rap before Nicki came in the picture, which is why I always thought their collab would end up how it did. Meg used her for a feature and kept it pushing because that was never her idol, but every rapper knows if you get that Nicki feature you made it.

i do think there is a weird amount of hate towards meg but not necessarily a hate train. however, i'm not too fond of the song but the video was amazing. i love to see Megan elevate and i think this is a step in the right direction. loved the reaction, love you zach ❤️
