Hi Zach! I'm a hottie and I think it's just that because of how Megan was treated after the shooting and during the trial that a lot of black women, myself included really identify with her and how black women can be vilified so viciously and sometimes the worst will come from our own communities. I think Megan's experience taps into that shared trauma a lot of BW have and as such makes people very sensitive to criticism about her because it feels personal. It's parasocial and unhealthy but I do think a lot of us feel very protective of her bc of what she went through. Thought I'd provide an explanation since it was asked 😊💜

Nicki, Drake, Tyga and others were all apart of the Young Money catalog. Based on the lawsuit Waynes manager filed pink print, pink Friday and Queen were apart of that deal. I’m sure she owns a percentage but she doesn’t out right own them like Meg does. Her deal with Roc Nation is solely a distribution deal they just get a cut of the sales, they have no legal claim over her work. Honestly it’s no shade to her though, at that time artist were signing whatever they could to get a deal. They really didn’t know any better. At least she was smart enough to not sign a 360 when everyone else was

I think ya'll do care, but when it comes to the black girls it feels like the criticism becomes the face and the love is hidden or shown with shade (if that makes sense). I feel black people are especially harder on the black girls which isn't fair when they don't do the same for the white girls in pop.
