A Thank You and Two Requests!

I feel like I should open every post with a thank you for your support and for reading—which might get old, but then again, thank you. Seriously. This Patreon and your readership make a huge difference in my life and my career pretty regularly. With that in mind, though, I have to make two requests, if you have a couple minutes for it:
First: For current Patreon supporters, this is more “awareness” than “action,” but you should know that starting in November 2024 (next month!), Apple will require Patreon to use their in-app purchasing system for their app. NEW memberships purchased through the app will be subjected to Apple’s 30% App Store fee. This won’t affect EXISTING subscriptions, but it will hit any future changes or re-subs.
If you want to avoid paying this fee on top of the regular Patreon prices, I HIGHLY recommend making any future subs or tier changes directly on the website & using an internet browser instead of the app.
If you’ve read virtually anything I’ve ever written, I’m sure you can imagine how I feel about our tech overlords. For what it’s worth, subscriptions & purchases of MANY things online are better done through a browser and the provider’s website than using an app. Hidden fees are a real thing. It’s always worth checking.
SECOND, and MORE FUN: If you’ve read GRAND THEFT SORCERY, thank you so much! I would deeply, sincerely appreciate text reviews, even if they’re only a couple sentences. I thought the ice wielder who we don’t meet again was an ifrit in earlier chapters.

Or consider: maybe his guardian had his back through all those years. Which would also mean the guardian was there through the awful things that led to those years. And if so, why didn't they intervene? This is the conundrum with basically every guardian angel premise, btw. :)

I’m most curious about the guardian who either was never on the job or disappeared when their charge started squatting.
