Story Post: GI 5, Chapter 1

Here it is. Good Intentions 5 is underway.
This one would work fine as a standalone story, too, though I would probably cut it off sooner. As with Past Due, we start with a check-in on Alex, Rachel, and Lorelei in their ordinary life (hah). In fact, it ties rather closely with that opening chapter of Past Due.
Alex doesn't feel the least bit bad about throwing those punches, but he knew when he did it that there'd inevitably be consequences from the university. Knew it and accepted it. Way it's gotta be.
I had a lot of fun with this one!

I think three is a carryover from Alex’s initial rules with Lorelei. And maybe Rachel intervening to lessen their footprint. Can you imagine the stories students would bring home if he were a tutor or a teacher’s aide?

Also remember that they draw their power from different sources than established hierarchies.

Come to think of it. Between Mitu and Blood Orca, I'm starting to wonder if the disruptions in Hell and its crowns couldn't have caused a huge disruption in the soul/power processing (for lack of a better term). One possible result would be more "free" magical energy for dormant entities, another is more magic available for Practitioners, a third is that the angels will be quite busy trying to claim this energy or trying to handle previously dormant entities.

Fun one! 1. Rachel clearly follows a pre-scientific classification of marine species. 2. I'm not sure who has the most pregnant text messaging style: Molly or Rachel. 3. Not sure how Alex went from not being able to have kids to not being able to work with kids.
