You can skip it safely. You also can save copies of files linux/linux.img and linux/zImage_dtb then update. If it will break something for you then you can restore saved files and you will get a previous version of linux.

Hi Alexey, if all my my USB controllers work perfectly fine and I don't use Wi-Fi, could you recommend not updating Linux?

What kind of issue you are talking about? You can use several controllers with the same VID/PID

Question: There is a fighting game community that loves retro games and wants to run events however we frequently run into the VID/PID issue as many of us use devices that have the same PCB. Is there a way to circumvent this at all? I personally feel the mister could be a great retro fighting game device but this one hiccup is holding it back from taking over arcade PCBs directly.
