confirmation dialog i think won't work if you press buttons quickly. So you will quickly choose "yes" while in autopilot. May be ini option to disable this combo should be more suitable. I will think.

Would it be possible to set the Back+Dpad shortcut for ini switching to something else? I've accidentally reset a core so many times with this shortcut when exiting from the menu upon saving and prematurely pressing a direction because I'm thinking about which way I'm walking in the game 😅 I've had to train myself to wait before pressing a direction, but I feel that a shortcut that's so easy to accidentally hit mid game (when I'm opening OSD to save basically on autopilot) should at least have the option to change it to something else. Alternately there could be a optional confirmation dialog?
