Final remarks for 2023
🕑 Added 2023-12-30 02:55:39 +0000 UTCThere are countless artists out there, many of them running Patreon and other subscriptions sites, but thank you so much for choosing me, a speck of sand in the desert. Whether you have been a long-time supporter, recently discovered me, or have unfortunately left me, I thank you very much.
Looking at Twitter (X), I often see images of violence, theft, war, etc., and it depresses me to think that humanity is trying to return to the Dark Ages of the Middle Ages or the Beast, instead of moving toward the future.
In spite of these unhelpful times, there are people who support the activities of small artists in this way. You who are capable of such devotion are the gods of salvation for me, and I always want to repay your kindness in any way I can.
And I am also sorry that my work has been slow and my efforts have not been commensurate with that support.
What kind of year was 2023 for you?
I live with my 83 year old mother. And my older sister lives 6 blocks away in the same town. I do not have a father.
My mother has actually been in the hospital since November; she had surgery in 2019 to remove and bypass part of her gallbladder and part of her duodenum, but she recently got sick again and is now undergoing a procedure to remove excess bile.
Also, her liver seems to be very weak. Well, she is 83 years old.
She was supposed to be discharged by the end of this year, but her recovery has not been good, and there is still no way for her to be discharged. Her legs have also weakened, so even if she does get out of the hospital, I suspect she will be bedridden for the rest of her life.
Fortunately, I work from home. My older sister, who is very bright, is nearby.
In fact, most of the money you gave me through Patreon was untouched and saved for emergencies, but now that I have a lot of expenses, it is being put to great use.
If it were not for your support, I might be on the street.
Once again, thank you all for keeping me alive.
In 2024, I believe my lifestyle will be at a turning point that will be very different.
However, I will still remain an artist to reward you all.
I will continue to do my best and I hope that you will continue to watch me with warm eyes next year.

2023年最後の挨拶
世の中には数え切れないほどのアーティストがいて、その多くがPatreonやその他の購読サイトを運営していますが、そんな中、砂漠の砂粒のような私を選んでくれて本当にありがとう。 長年応援してくださっている方も、最近私を知ってくださった方も、残念ながら離れてしまった方も、本当にありがとうございます。
Twitter (X)を見ていると、暴力、窃盗、戦争などの映像を目にすることが多く、人類は未来に向かうのではなく、中世や野獣の暗黒時代に戻ろうとしているのではないかと思うと気が滅入ります。
こんな救いのない時代にもかかわらず、こうして小さなアーティストの活動を応援してくれる人たちがいる。そのような献身的な活動ができる皆さんは、私にとって救いの神であり、少しでも恩返しをしたいといつも思っています。
そして、私の仕事が遅々として進まず、その支援に見合った結果が果たせていないことも申し訳なく思っています。
あなたにとって2023年はどんな年でしたか？
私は83歳の母と暮らしています。そして6ブロック離れた同じ町に姉が住んでいます。私には父親がいません。
実は母は11月から入院していて、2019年に胆嚢の一部と十二指腸の一部を切除してバイパスする手術を受けたのですが、最近また具合が悪くなり、今は余分な胆汁を取り除く手術を受けています。
また、肝臓がとても弱っているようだ。まあ、83歳ですからね。
今年中には退院できる予定でしたが、回復が思わしくなく、いまだに退院のめどが立っていません。足も弱っているので、退院できたとしても今後は寝たきり生活になるんじゃないかな。
幸い、私は自宅で仕事をしていますし、聡明な姉も近くにいます。
実は、Patreonを通じて皆さんからいただいたお金のほとんどは手をつけず、いざというときのために貯めていたのですが、出費が多い今、大いに助かっています。
もし皆さんのサポートがなかったら、私は路頭に迷っていたかもしれません。
改めて、私を生かしてくれた皆さんに感謝します。
2024年、私のライフスタイルは大きく変わる転機を迎えると思います。
しかし、私は皆さんに報いるためにアーティストであり続けます。
これからも頑張りますので、来年も温かい目で見守っていただければ幸いです。

Thank you for your impassioned words to me. What I think about most as I continue with Patreon is the sense of redemption that I have not lived up to the expectations of my supporters. On New Year's Eve 2024, I want to be able to proudly say that I have truly made everyone happy.
