Another item designed at Gameholcon - the Tome of the Stenographer.
While a Common item, I really enjoy the purpose of taking notes. While this isn’t an item for putting the burden of conversations on the GM, it in fact is the opposite. They are able to give small summaries or assist to a player/character without requiring a mountain of digging. I was really thrilled by the idea.

Description:
This series of leather tomes can be found in most town councils or records. Always bound in bronze and steel, its most identifiable feature is a large gem carefully engraved with a quill. It’s often used as a note taker for absent minded wizards or as a chronicler of findings and debates of established councils.
Tabs:
- Begin Recording: As an action, the user can touch the gem embedded on the front of the tome and will it to function, starting on a fresh page. Until deactivated in the same way, it will record all conversation within a 20ft radius of the tome.
- The pages will appear handwritten and not differentiate the speaker unless they state their name to the tome.
- The tome can record 150 words per page, with 200 pages total in the tome.
- The GM determines if there are filled pages upon acquiring.
- Once this tome is filled, it will cease to function.
- Spending 10 minutes to review the writings, the user then has advantage on checks to recall information discussed within the pages chosen.
