Crossbow of Harold the Slayer: Art (PNGs)
🕑 Added 2022-06-11 13:15:00 +0000 UTCGreetings All!
A crossbow, finally another! This one has been in the art pile for a while and this week I put my mind to making it into something special. Hence, Harold’s Crossbow was born with a few unique features to make it stand out.
Tying this against something like the Oathbow, but making it more inclined to a prepared and careful hunter. That aspect of an item really spoke to me, leading to the two very specialized features. I also loved the nod to a specialized ammunition so that is added in for good measure.
Originally I had this as a +3 Attack (only) with a 1d10 bonus for the feature, since it was compared to something such as Holy Avenger for Tier Strength, the server agreed it needed a boost. Hence the bump and direct tie to PB for balance.
If you have any suggestions or thoughts, or see any language that needs editing let me know!
Updates: Shadows on Jaw and bow cord updated.
Truly, as always and ever sincerely, Thank You.

Description:
Harold was known for several things, most notably an incredible mustache. Secondly, was this crossbow and the ability to bring down the most elusive or dangerous quarry with it. This sturdy build now carries the age and skill of that veteran slayer, as evidenced by the notches carved for legendary foes it has laid to rest. If one is of strong and patient character, they might lift this bow and see if they are worthy to add to its storied legend.
Tabs:
- The user gains a +3 bonus to Attack Rolls made with this weapon.

Doing so, grants the user Advantage on Survival, Nature, and Perception (Wisdom) checks against this creature type until replaced with a new Trophy.
- Crossbow Bolts of Slaying used with this Crossbow gain an extra 2d10 Piercing damage on a failed save, and half as much on a successful one.
