Now the question is why is she failing to keep up? Is it because she doesn’t understand the material? Or is it because she doesn’t show up to class? Could she be embarrassed by her growth and skips school because of it? This drip feed kills me lol

Not necessarily, The flaws can still be great, even within competent characters. at least the other characters don't seem dumb/lazy, so the story still holds my attention.

Yeah I can understand that, but on the other hand I think we'll end up with a lot of Mary Sue characters that essentially have no flaw except for very minor ones. Just fine for purely sexual stories of course, but not for stories with some meaning to them.

Somehow, going by the look on Jessica's face in that last page, I don't feel there's going to be a fight. If Alex had thrown in a threatening remark with asking why she's failing her classes, then yeah, this would end in a two hit smack down, Jessica hitting Alex and then Alex impacting the far wall. Honestly, I think that Jessica might be a little ashamed that she can't keep up with schoolwork. Though I could just easily be wrong. I guess I won't know for sure until the next set.

I just don't like following dumb/lazy characters. Maybe, instead of failing college, she is getting a tattoo or something else shameful.
