Faces The Wind

You are keeping the balance of "info vs action" well and well spread out, and getting to have stuff like the crazy chaotic storm chapters uncluttered by explanations was worth it. I appreciate that you spread it out between weeks of skill building, adventures through kitchens, den battles, character building, undead gamer gun loving dude-bro metalheads, and giant fish of doom. Thank you.

Hey Beater, thanks for your comment! And yeah, it's fair, it's been a bit info dumpy with the lectures. My view was that the faculty just wanted to get the newbies up and running ASAP, by giving them the basic knowledge that they need in order to survive in society/delve in this pre-delve training, and the rest they would experience/learn by themselves. But I was indeed a bit worried that it was a too heavy 😅 That being said, as fair as I remember, this should be the last lecture, at least for Nar (and for us). Kur will continue on taking loads of them, but those will be off-screen, and that knowledge will be communicated to the party as needed (you'll see already in the upcoming dungeon, Kur will mention some tidbits). Hope this sounds good! (Oh, there should be one small one at the beggining of Arc 3, but it's more of a tech setup than lecture).

Not gonna lie brother, I love this story, but these info dump chapters are so boring to read. I got enough studying to do for my real classes that studying for the story is really unappealing. Like I skimmed all the past ones but couldn’t even force my way through it. When I saw the title for this chapter I was thinking “I’ll just wait til the actual dungeon diving to catch up” just gonna keep it real with you brother. Love the story, love the characters, love the action and plot, it’s an amazing story don’t get it wrong. There’s a famous saying with story writing that’s really applicable to this situation it’s show don’t tell. Having a literal professor tell me things doesn’t let my mind imagine a very dynamic scene. Idk some of these things can just be revealed as needed instead of told ahead of time. Like have this happen in the background and then when dungeon diving time happens have Kur quickly summarize the basics to the team to keep everything ready.
