Tanyas a bit fatalistic when it comes to the Entities. Unlike the Reapers, she doesn't really see any way for them to be dealt with, so she's able to content herself with the knowledge that there's plenty of humanity out of the Entities' reach, even if they take over this cluster. That isn't to say that she wouldn't join Cauldron if given the offer, but she has no interest in taking on Warrior all by her lonesome.

I never thought about Worm but it is a really interesting setting for this story. Aside from the whole question of if it is dangerous to be interacting too much with the Entities, there's a lot of cool potential interactions. If she went back for another life in a different world of this multiverse would Folder remember her? Since Entities seem to be able to interract with all earths within this verse and they don't experience time linearly, it might. If she got universe hopping powers could she find the previous incarnation of herself? Would it actually be her or normal Vista? Whether or not she goes back for more lives, this setting is a great way for her to learn and experiment with powers, kind of like the Entities themselves. I wonder how she'll interact with cauldron. She seems to get along well with her shard but I can't see her letting all of humanity potentially die.

Honestly Missy connecting to the Shard makes sense, the connection is there, but the problem is that parahumans can't controll it on their end. On the other hand Missy has not only experience with controlling her own brain, but also the very mechanic of her reincarnation is to alter her newborn mind using her soul to inject memories, it's no wonder that she manadged to learn to use this mechanic to gain some soverinity over her brain.

It helps a lot that Tanya doesn't know of any way to leave a multiverse that isn't dying. Nor does she understand the mechanism that protects her ego from the metaphorical waters of the rivers of souls.

I somehow didn't expect her to just commune with the thing. I think I conceptually put telepathy and Brain-Machine Interfaces in two different boxes. Does Folding now know about the greater multiverse that the Entities apparently didn't know about before because of Tanya's memories? Is that going to be a problem? Entities escaping to go have their Cycle outside their current (incidental?) quarantine could cause huge problems. Or not, maybe most of their knowledge is invalid or needs adaptation to work elsewhere and that'd cause no end of problems for them for quite a while... until they stumble into something that obliterates them out of hand. Also interested in if Missy gets involved with Taylor and/or Amy after their triggers. The energy expenditure might be worth it for Folding to contact QA about its circumstances.
