Changes to Tiers, Benefits & Payment (It's Not Much, Please Don't Sweat)

When I started this project, my expectations, ambitions and prices were low. The Patreon Tiers I created were always meant to be temporary, and I made them cheap and simple at first so they could be adjusted later as I found necessary.
I'm extremely lucky to now find myself in a position where a fun project can potentially become a real job. In order to give this career longevity, and without wanting to take your valued support for granted, I need to slightly adjust my plans and prices to make sure I can continue doing it for as long as possible (and also to overcome Patreon's creator fees... some of which aren't totally clear when you first sign up).
You won't automatically be issued new fees. Patreon doesn't work that way - you need to choose your new Tier yourself. So I'm creating three new Tiers which will be available from May 1st. That means you won't be charged anything extra on the upcoming payment cycle, so don't feel you need to delete you subscription and bail out just yet.
You can choose your new Tier from May 1st, but your existing Tiers, fees and benefits will remain until May 10th, at which point, I will delete the current tiers. If you haven't already selected a new Tier by then, you will have to do so after that date.
The first Tier will become slightly more expensive, the highest Tier will be slightly cheaper. The middle Tier stays the same - the other change is to the benefits.
The new Tiers will be:
• New BadFantasy Tier (£3, $4.50 USD, €4, $5.5 CAD, $6 AUD)
Access to all uncensored versions of of edited YouTube Content
• New GoodFantasy Tier (£4, $6 USD, €5, $7.5 CAD, $7.5 AUD)
Access to all uncensored versions of of edited YouTube Content
Access to monthly Patreon-Only exclusive audio, determined by Tier-Exclusive polls & discussion
• New GreatFantasy Tier (£5, $7.5 USD, €6, $9.5 CAD, $9.5 AUD)
Access to all the benefits of the New GoodFantasy Tier, for those wishing to provide maximum support (this Tier is actually cheaper now. I'm hoping to add benefits in the future but for now I'm taking change slowly, so I don't overextend myself).
I hope you can forgive the price rise. I take your patronage and support extremely seriously, so it's not something I particularly wanted to do. But like everyone, I have bills to pay and food to buy, and the time and effort that goes into this work is pretty considerable. Especially if you want it to come across as fairly professional, which I definitely do.
Thank again for your support. I realise this is complicated but it's annoyingly the only way that Patreon allows changes in price. So if anything in unclear, ask away in the comments! Or just let me know your thoughts, I'm really interested in what you all think of this.

Thanks Sara. You should go for the Patreon - it's worth chasing a creative dream! Setting my expectations low meant I wasn't shocked when fees and rules started causing me trouble. And I think there's a thing with taxes that makes fees worse for UK based-creators. But it's still worth it.

Honestly, I'm MORE than happy to pay more, cause I always thought you were charging too little considering the quality of your work (I work freelance, so I'm ALL for creators valuing their work and time). I Also, a someone considering starting her own Patreon, it's REALLY good to know about the unexpected fees. I'm in a similar situation where I feel like no one would actually be willing to pay for my content (ecchi photos) but, this has given me hope that won't be the case 😊 Keep up the good work you lovely human being ❤️

I was expecting to see my Patron numbers drop overnight after this post, but I've woken up, made a coffee and checked in to find they've actually gone up. Thank you all, I was seriously right when I talked about how lovely and supportive the community is. But I would add - the tier change I'm referring to isn't in place yet - it will only be available on the 1st, I'll post about it again then (And probably throw in a new Patreon-Only audio on the day, too). Any pledge increase made now will only need to be re-done when the new tiers are available on the 1st. I only mention this as I've seen a few people increase their pledge overnight. Unless those folks are just doing it to be kind ❤️

Thanks very much! And yes it does suck. They show you the platform fees up front, which aren't so bad. But the payment processing fees come later, and they apply to every single patron. That's where it really sticks you, especially if you're only asking £2 for everything.

That is a 50% increase in price on tier 1. Not “slight”. As I only signed on a week ago, doesn’t seem fair. Sorry, no.

Totally understandable! I hate to hear that Patreon charges fees that high and I can see why it takes content creators a long time to decide to join here if that is the case. Thank you letting us know your reasons it definitely is nice to visibly see you making this hard choice. Don't worry I'm sticking around for sure now and maybe go up a tier now.

Very observant, and thank you for checking! I look like that because I was trying to get my arms in the shot so people would have something to look at instead of just a blurry face. I also wanted to camera close enough that I could press it from where I was sitting, so I ended up looking squashed in the shot. Although asking people to pay more doesn't feel very nice, it's not why I looked tense, I swear 😀
