Thank you Bibi, what a beautiful comment. I'm really glad you appreciate my work like this. Over the weekend I had a couple of nights out with lots of people I'd never met before. Often when that happens, I get asked a lot of questions about my work. Someone asked how many hours a week I devote to this, and I found it really difficult to answer. It seeps into every hour of my day. Even when I'm not sitting and writing, recording or editing, I'm always thinking about it. How to improve, how to connect with listeners more effectively, where the stories can go... And I wonder about how much of the real me is understood and perceived, versus the amount that I actually intend to give away. I suspect that quite a lot of the 'real' me comes through in the work. The relationship between artist, art and viewer can sometimes be difficult to interpret, from the artists perspective. But your comment makes it feel a little clearer. I'm kind of rambling but what I'm also trying to say is, in simpler terms - I work really, really hard at this, and it means a lot when people notice. So, thank you 🙂
