Awww many thanks to your answer and comforting . It’s been a while and I’m recovering from that whole thing. It wasn’t easy and it was really tricky. That guy in my comment was forcing me to come out while I was actually trying to remain closeted. It was something that really shatters me and really hurts me. Although nothing serious had happened so far.. So yeah, I think there’s a long way to go to fully accept myself and deal with everything else.

Do it! I've only sung with a church choir, but the choir mistress was always aware of our individual ability and put us according to that (sometimes I'd be doing a bit of tenor rather than alto if the tenors need boosting on the high notes). There's a certain amount of trust there though which might be true of anything that we might feel self-conscious about. I know that if any of us do some duff notes then the people around us will gently mention it and try and help us fix it (or the conductor will tell us or in fact, do the various faces that we have learned to interpret as "go sharper" or "too sharp" etc :D ).

April's question was really good - I never considered that being professionally horny might use up your horn reserves. Also, yessss singing. You sound good! I always found group singing to be really energising/relaxing - particularly like, feeling the sheet music vibrating, feeling the sound on me. Literally the vibes I guess. re: the vegan tacos - I was thinking about this yesterday? the day before? definitely ridic o'clock in the morning when I was brainstorming options for vegan tapas for a friend who was trying to plan snacks for a thing and I feel like with vegan food, you can't get away with just slapping some cheese or an egg in so you do have to really consider the range of textures and colours and flavours (it helped that none of the food was for me, so it could be stuff I don't like but I was still at "what currently in my fridge could be veganised for my friend's menu?"). I also don't know how much golden syrup works as a replacement for honey because I feel that the flavour isn't quite right even though it has the right viscosity. * Also, unexpected beard noise 10/10 excellent sounding scratchy beard thanks BF! * I'm kind of still thinking about my friend's snacks menu.

Your work has really given me a lot of insight as to what my own kinks are and what I'd probably like to try when I put myself out there (which is something I have started doing again after a long time).
