Now that I'm older and much wiser, this is one aspect of school I really hate. In school, you're taught to read from one source, memorize that one piece of information, and regurgitate it as fact. Trying to learn it on your own when you need it is "cheating." How do things work in real life? You have to rely on research skills all the time, literally researching and "cheating" to find information you need when you need it instead of relying on having to already knowing it.
