Had a friend who tried the impossible whopper, and they at first said that it needed at least sauce to stop how dry the burger was, and after that, they had baaaad issues in the bathroom

No, my old site is no longer maintainable. It's just an old archive.

Frankly, I would prefer making my own 'burgers', out of grated/minced vegetables and oatmeal. Zucchini fritters are nice, pretty sure I could build on that.

hay jay, I was wondering, if you would be adding the updates from here onto your old site as well.

If they can't engineer it with the exact same nutrition including the amino acids of a grazing ruminant, it won't matter. If it can't be marketed without bolstering it with impronounceable chemical ingredients, it won't matter either. If it comes with a carbohydrate load and a glycemic index higher than real beef, it won't matter.

I've been involved with several projects examining both plant based, and cell culture methods to create meat alternatives or replacements. ...they all still need work. You'd think that the cell culture approach would be the closest, but we can only culture a single type of cells most of the time, so while we can have a beautiful plate of muscle cells (myocytes), actual meat is a mixture of different cells, which need to be cultured independently and blended together. Without that, imagine eating the driest and blandist hamburger you've ever consumed. The Impossible line of products comes the closest IMO, but an internal study from about 5 years ago, using cultured bovine haemoglobin gave a much better taste than the leghaemoglobin used in the current product...but then we can't say it's vegan. Given the funds now being devoted to this, things will get closer, and that's a good thing IMO.

Vegan burgers can be quite delicious, but soy is best used for other applications.

Leo is growing up pretty decent, isn't he?

There are vegan meat imitations that actually taste pretty much like the real thing. This is evidently not one of them.

Burgerking has decent vegetarian burgers

Wow. That's how upset Leo is at eating a vegan burger... Poor guy.

Lol, oh this is gonna be a hard hill to climb for Lucy X3 I've had a vegan pizza once and it was pretty good actually. Can't say for other vegan foods though.

Out of curiosity I tried one. Thought I was eating dry sawdust.
