Upcoming 100th map !
🕑 Added 2017-08-03 19:51:11 +0000 UTC We've come SOOO far. I'll be releasing my 100th map soon. This is a preview of what's brewing in my studio. It's a big original city map. Still a work in progress.We've talked in the past about building a city map with zoom-in maps of certain wards and this is going to be it. This will be the first installment. After this, in stages, I will create zoom-in maps of the different wards or neighborhoods in the city. The goal is to create a pretty defined city with lots of illustrations that can be used by many. This reminds of the Waterdeep supplement (Forgotten Realms) or the Sharn supplement (Eberron) which are whole bookguides devoted to a single city.
These things were huge so whole urban campaigns could be run in these cities. That's what I'm thinking, eventually I'd release a PDF book guide of this created city. Obviously after finishing with all illustrations, it's still a LONG way for that.
Since this is my 100 it's a big milestone for me. This map will be released with all the usual illustration options for my Patrons as usual. However I will also give aways the main poster sized color illustration as a PWYW product so other people can get it. That publication will only include the main color and main B/W versions. Other variations and the PDF document will remains Patron exclusives.

When I release it in the next few days it will include district divisions. Those (though maybe not all) will be later done in zoom in mode. I plan to have a pretty detailed setting. And yes the northern walled block is supposed to be the royal citadel.

This looks outstanding. I've done several city states over the decades and always made certain to leave areas available for DM configuration and the ever popular "urban renewal" projects. How deep are you going to go into the detail work? Is this divided into set districts? Do you have a caravansari? I am assuming the citadel is at the NNW, just above the city square? Looking forward to it.
