I played it a few years ago and it wasn't bad with mouse and keyboard. However, since your controller is about to arrive, I'd suggest waiting. The game isn't very long (10-15 hours if I'm not wrong) so you will have enough time to play it.

Personally I use Bootcamp, which is where you literally install Windows on a partition of your hard drive and boot into that. It's the best way to do it, but a bit of a pain I guess

I'd really like to talk about Ninja Gaiden's combat and challenges in contrast to other action games, but I see this as a great ooportunity to finally play SWAT 4 for the first time. Since I only have an iMac, which program do you use to emulate Windows? Or do you also have a regular gaming pc? I have never done that and are a little bit wary of trying it out.

The unofficial patch fixes most of the technical problems with the game. Played it on Windows 10 about a year ago.

Psychonauts is also available on GOG.com which will include the manual and additional artwork for download.

Waiting on my controller to arrive (any day now) before I get stuck into Psychonauts for the first time. I'm guessing it's more suited to a controller?

Literally just played through the entirety of Psychonauts a week ago =P. It's a great choice though!

Just while I think of it, do we know that Vampire Bloodlines actually runs on modern Windows? I'm sure I remember having to dual-boot into Windows XP 32-bit when I tried it back in 2009.

Psychonauts *should* be my favourite game, given that my favourite films are Eternal Sunshine and Inside Out! It's certainly full of great ideas, but my memory of it is of consistent frustration. (Maybe 3d platformers just aren't my thing?) I eventually had to give up on the gruelling final level, which I just couldn't do. Apparently Double Fine "fixed" that level when they reacquired the rights, so I should give the game another go. Also, I should give Vampire Masquerade another go. Honestly, I'd probably be happy to try any of these. I like this idea.

This seems like the motivation I needed to play games I payed money for multiple times and never even tried! Sadly enough, ALL 5 games on this list fit those characteristics, but I'm voting for Psychonauts because it somehow feels like a crime to not have played it yet. Also it looks like the shortest one.

I've played already Psychonauts but I still voted for it because it's one of my favorite-est games ever made and I really want to see more people play it. (I probably won't have time to play through whatever game gets voted for anyway)

I would love to talk about Psychonauts, the return of the 3D action platformer ( Yooka Laylee, Poi, Unbox, Zelda-ish ), and the greater cycle of genre revival, but I have a feeling people are willing to play that regardless. After reading the piece on SWAT 4 on Waypoint, I think it's the one people should play and might need a push like the GameClub to play.

Even though I think that discussing VtM: Bloodlines would be quite interesting, I have no desire to return to it after getting stuck at one very unpleasant location. SWAT4 is one of the standouts of the genre. Non-violent approach differentiated it from other tactical shooters of the time, and I would love to replay it. Still, it would be a pleasure to play any one of these. It's great, that you're doing this, Mark. Any word on how long the poll will stay open? Up until the end of the month?

Sounds awesome. I choose Vampire because I've been wanting for the excuse to finally go through it.

Wow, this is a GREAT idea! This way I could actually do some serious, focused videogaming in my life, instead of playing casual bits here and there. I'm between Bully and Psychonauts, since my core2duo mac with 144 mb of video doesn't leave me much choices. Psychonauts it is, I'm think I'm more down for what it seems to be a quirky platformer, rather than the sandbox style of Bully. I'll try to play it too, anyway. As noted above, cheap, 2d indies would be great, they are easy to get, to run, and many times feature innovative game design ideas.

Wow - Psychonauts is really running away with it. I chose SWAT 4 (sounds interesting, and I've never heard of it), but I've actually never played any of these, so I'll be happy trying out whatever wins.

Casting a vote for Ninja Gaiden. I remember reading a quote from Itagaki saying that he estimated only 20% of the people who pick up the game would be able to finish it on Normal, 10% on Hard, and 2% on Very Hard. I grinded for a whole summer to reach that top 2%. I was so proud of my accomplishment that I retired the game disc, hot-glued some corkboard to the back of it and turned it into a coaster I still have to this day. I'd be super stoked to revisit it on Vita. So many fond memories!

I went for Vampire because it's often overlooked due to a lack of marketing, bugs and being PC only (I also want Mark to play it).

Both Bully and SWAT4 seem to explore the concept of "layers of violence" that I'm so interested in. Most games go for deadly violence instead of apprehension, threats or insults. My vote goes for one of these games. Bloodline shows that RPGs can benefit from more dynamic varied gameplay that action-adventures offer, but other than that (and the multiple solutions it offers) I don't see anything truly new. Psychonauts had several interesting ideas, and is a genre hybrid, which is nice, but overall is an example of "what not to do".

I went for SWAT 4, because it's the only one I've never even heard of. I've already played Psychonauts a bunch of times though, so if that gets picked I might just spend the month playing SWAT 4 anyway.

This is probably one of the most difficult polls I've ever partaken in, since I love all those games.

I have a Mac and a PS4 so it would be cool if the games in the next editions in the GameClub are available in as many platforms as possible. It's such a cool idea that I wouldn't want to miss it because the games can only be played in PC or something like that.

It's been a long time since I played Psychonauts anyway. Might just let a friend play it too so I can see their reaction for fun. I guess I kind of went for the safe choice here of a game I already know I like and own, but next time I'd go with something random or that I haven't played yet for a new experience. FYI, the Humble Bundle store is also a good place for cheap games.

Psychonauts for sure. Also, it's the only one besides Bully I can play (don't have a PC or Xbox). So please, Mark, choose next games so that they can be played on as many platforms as possible :) Mobile games are a great idea since they're usually for Android and iOS both (no discussion about Windows phones needed).

I started Psychonauts long ago, but sadly never finished it. I hope it wins so I have an excuse to make it justice.

Choosed Psychonauts because I started it like a year ago and never finished it, so its a great oportunity to do it now ^^ I think it could be a good idea if all the propossed games could be playable in PC, this is a really cool idea and loosing the oportunity of participating on this because you do not have the required console is a pity.

One more to Psychonauts. I already have it, and was just looking for an excuse to play.

I went for Psychonauts because I bounced off it pretty hard when I first tried it a few years ago; I want to know why it gets such high praise.

Ninja Gaiden as it's the only one in my backlog, however wouldn't mind too much replaying Psychonauts, I think. May I suggest some shorter/cheaper more accessible indie games for next month?

Both Vampire: The Masquerade and Psychonauts seem like wonderful games I'd love to play through. My vote goes to Vampire, but with a very slim margin.
