WIP - How Game Are Balanced | Game Maker's Toolkit
🕑 Added 2019-03-25 15:47:30 +0000 UTCHello early access lovelies!
So, I've been working on a really difficult project lately. I've been wanting to make a primer about multiplayer game balance for a while now, but it's been a really tough subject to tackle!
If balancing a game was easy, there wouldn't be a million Reddit threads about how overpowered your favourite character is! It's a complex, ever-evolving, near impossible problem to solve.
I've been working with lots of smart people who have been helping me along (including people who've worked on League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, and more). But now i'd love your thoughts, if you've got them!
Here is a prototype version of the video. Which means it's some images I might show on screen, and some notes / draft text / quotes that I'll be using.

I'd really appreciate any thoughts you have on the subject. Is there anything I should add? Remove? Explain better? Got a great example for any particular subject?
Thanks very much! Oh, and the thumbnail is a WIP too. Everything's a WIP!

Hey man, kinda connected to this I have a suggestion for a Future episode: "At what Point should a Game wrap up to Not overstay its welcome" or sth.
