Happy Holloween - The World Design of Hollow Knight

To celebrate Halloween, I'm taking you to the aptly named Hallownest: the sprawling ant's nest world of Team Cherry's Metroidvania, Hollow Knight.
This is my biggest video yet. It's 40 minutes (way longer than anything I've made before), and has animated maps and charts, developer insight, speedrun tech, pre-release maps, and more information than you can shake a stick at.
Getting it done for Halloween was a tall order and I've been working non-stop for the past week, re-recording lines, adding in music, capturing new clips, and so on.
Unfortunately, getting this episode out in time for Halloween does have a couple consequences: I haven't had time to make the $3 Playlist video for October, so that will be releasing sometime next week. Sorry about that.
And because I've only just finished this, I can't give $5 backers their usual 24 hour early access. To make it up to you, I'll give you two days early access on the next full GMTK video. And also, I'll share the full interview with Team Cherry and some behind the scenes editing stuff with you - also next week.
If you're unhappy with either of these, I'll of course be happy to refund your October contribution - there's a setting for this in Patreon.
For now, I just need to lie down and not look at Adobe Premiere for a few days.

This was a great video. Totally love this game.
I still have a lot of hollow knight to play, love the world, the characters, the sense of exploration. overal magnificent game. the bad things for me are the bad/good ending thing and the fact that it is not clear on the map (so far at least) where I have and have not been. this last bit drives me crazy. Great video, once again.
