I loved Titan Souls. Definitely gonna give Death's Door a try. Especially if they give me a disc. So hey, Mark, I had a thought recently and maybe it's something you could mention in your accessibility videos. Closed captions are nice, but I feel like they're pretty lazy. They don't worry too much about allowing the hearing-impaired to experience something the same way the rest of us do. For example: In Better Call Saul, there's a scene where Mike is going to shoot someone important and it's a very tense scene. So tense the volume cuts out and all you hear is a very faint hum, like he's laser focused and all other senses are ignored. The viewer is also so wrapped up in the moment that it takes a while to realize the sound has gotten louder. Finally Mike notices it too. It sounds familiar. He stops the assassination and goes to investigate and realizes it was a car horn, from a stick propped up in his own car. It's a great moment. However if you have closed captioning turned on, as soon as you hear the faintest sound it just says, "Car horn honking." It completely robs the scene of the slow burn. Same with subtitles saying who's speaking when the viewer isn't necessarily supposed to know their name yet. Happens in video games too. I just wonder if they couldn't put more effort into immersing hearing-impaired people in the story, rather than just belching out all the information at once to satisfy the minimum accessibility requirements.
