Thanks very much for your questions last week. I suddenly realised it was a four-day holiday in the UK for Easter, so it's taken until today for me to be able to answer them. Sorry for the delay, but here we are!
I got over 80 questions, so I answered about 25 of the ones that I felt I had a good answer to. Enjoy! Chat soon

Regarding your comment on physics simulation, I think that will change with the PS5 and Series X. I've seen a few dev interviews saying that doing anything simulation-intensive was really restrictive on the PS4 & Xbox One, because they used such weak mobile-based CPU's. Now we're about to see the powerhouse that's Ryzen 2 in next-gen hardware, so that should shake things up a bit!

I just normally edit out all the breaths in GMTK videos, but this one was too long to do that ;)

Would absolutely love to see some Tony Hawk analysis, they're formative games for me as well, the early Pro Skater games especially. For such seemingly simple games there's a lot to go into - the raw mechanics, the combo/scoring system and the level design but to name a few

4k Patreons too! Great Q&A Mark. Oddly enough that Mario 4-Step video was the first of yours I watched when Polygon shared it.

Not sure if I am over-noticing, but you sound kind of out-of-breath in this video.

Something simmilar also happened with me when I was watching the Bioshock commentary. It's excellently made as well!

I was wondering if you watch Jacob Geller. His videos are fantastic! :D

Thanks for the video.

I really loved that commentary feature in Portal. Wish more games did something similar.

Great question from Alphonse. I've always said I'd love to see FROM Software do a Berserk game. We've never really had a great Berserk game (the Dreamcast one is the closest), and Dark Souls is so clearly inspired by the manga. It's a match made in heaven.
